[ sweet note ]

It warms my heart dearly when a client takes the time to call or email me about how much they loved their final images.  In the order she emailed me, the mom of these three adorable children sent me such a nice note. I wanted to share some of it with you...

"Jessie,

I wanted to let you know I placed my order for the pictures...I absolutely loved all of the pictures, I had a hard time narrowing down.  There were so many, my sister and I were brought to tears.  The kids loved seeing themselves on the computer with the music--you are so talented, thank you so much!

The color was amazing, I can only imagine when I see the prints in person!  C in the wheelbarrow in black and white--I just loved this!  The black and white shots of E laying in the grass--literally made me cry, she looks so beautiful.  Those and a few more of R I will still be getting too!

Thank you so much for filling my home with the wonderful smiles of my beautiful children!!!  You are an amazing photographer!!!  And yes...we will have many more sessions to come!

[ love this new family! ]

This was the first time I have photographed this family...but you wouldn't know it.  By the time I left their home, mom and I found out that we go to the same hair salon (the fabulous Tracy & Co.) and we were eating delicious cheesecake they had brought home from NYC!  I had such a wonderful time photographing these four, the two boys were just a delight and I can't wait until their next session.  Enjoy this little peek!

[ session at home ]

Oooooh, I loved this session!  Not to say that these three didn't exhaust me in every possible way, but they are such a blast and except for a little crash and burn for brother, it was a flawless session.  I have been photographing this family for a few years, but it has been 2 years since our last session.  This time we did the session at their house and I'm so glad we did!  When I drove up I saw what I would call a "vintage" wheel barrow way in the corner of the yard.  I asked right away if we could use it--turns out it belonged to the grandfather of these three and their mom used to play in it when she was younger.  What a great treat!  Also, they have a great yard and wonderful home with all sorts of fantastic furniture...I was spying around for chairs, couches and the like to use at their next session.  Shhhh, don't tell mom!  Enjoy these adorable blue-eyed beauties...

[ 3 in a week ]

I don't think I have ever photographed 3 newborns within 7 days...and, they were all boys!  This little guy was the last of my three newborn boys.  The funny thing is that they were all due within a month's time, but all of the sessions ended up in one week.  Each one was so adorable and the particular feature on this little guy that I loved was his hair.  A perfect light brown with highlights and it was so soft--how perfect is that?  I have been photographing this family for a few years now and I was so happy to meet the newest addition.  Big brother and I had a good time running around outside during a feeding break and he also got out all of his army men so we could play!  Enjoy this peek for now...

[ perfect summer evening ]

We could not have ordered better weather for this session!  This was actually our second attempt at the session since a bit of rain canceled our original date a few weeks ago...I'm so glad we rescheduled!  I have been photographing little Miss Z since she was in her mommy's tummy.  It has been a year since she was in front of my camera and oh my how much she has grown!  Such a silly and fun two year old--really, one of the best ages to photograph!  I know her mom is dying for this sneak peek, so without further ado...

This adorable family received a newborn session as a gift--isn't that a wonderful idea?  Over the last few months we patiently waited for little N to make his arrival and I can't believe how fast time flew...before I knew it, he was here and his much anticipated session was upon us.  He slept so well for about 90% of the session--even through quite a few "accidents" on dad (you were quite the trooper dad!!).  He was a tiny peanut at a week old and there are so many wonderful images of him...for now enjoy this quick peek!

There is going to be a lot of activity on the blog over the next couple of weeks so check back often!  I'm desperately trying to catch up after being on vacation for 2 weeks...not sure if I will ever accomplish that though.  =0)

You could say that I was a *wee* bit out of my element with this trio.  Most of the children I photograph are 5, 4 and 1 year old...not 15, 14 and 11 years old like these cuties!  I definitely couldn't turn this session down though.  While visiting family and friends in Oregon, a friend I have known for about oh...17 years or so asked me to photograph her children.  She hadn't had a professional picture of the three of them since her daughter was a few years old--what a crime!!  They have a great piece of property so that made things very easy. As far as getting great facial reactions, I sure had to dig deep for some funny...or I mean stupid and ridiculous things to say to get them to laugh and be natural.  Thank goodness no one was video taping me!  I'm pretty sure I hit the nail on the head...enjoy!
