The studio will be closed April 1st through April 9th.  We will be on a first-ever and much needed family vacation!  All emails and calls will be answered on Friday, April 10th.

And now...some yummy eye candy for you!  The most artful way to display your custom portraits: The Fine Art Presentation Box!  These boxes are handmade with your choice of custom fabric and ribbon.  Choose prints from one session or for those of you who choose A Year of Art, showcase images from your baby's first year.  The Presentation Box pictured holds my favorite images of my daughter's first year.

The best part about the Presentation Box (other than the fact that it is made just for you and so delicious to look at?) you can display prints in a variety of ways: on an easel next to the box, various mats/prints on easels in rooms throughout your house...and you can change the image you display by simply choosing another matted print from your box.  Without further ado...

This past weekend one of my clients hosted the first Referral Party of the year and it was a wonderful success!  She invited her friends and they each came, browsed through the products, asked questions and left with a yummy good bag filled with chocolate, a mini frame, marketing materials...and the best part, a certificate for a complimentary print from their next session.  The feedback was wonderful and I think I have some new clients headed my way soon!

Obviously I think my daughter is adorable in whatever she wears...but this particular outfit was the main reason for these pictures.  She had received this dress for her birthday in September and at that time she was not walking and was a little more "rolly polly" so I have been waiting and waiting for her to fit this dress.  After getting her ready for church, I couldn't believe how much I loved the outfit so we went outside real quick for a few pictures.  It was SO cold--probably 35 degrees or so and after a few minutes I was trying to head back inside with her but she would have none of it!  Kicking and screaming she went inside to warm up and then we ran back out again for a few minutes.  It may seem as though I will do anything for a picture, though freezing my child--or yours--isn't usually one of them!  I guess it just goes to show you how resilient they are!

I often get compliments on my haircut and highlights--and I really do mean that in the most humble way.  I can take no credit for any of it, I am a product of the magic that happens at Tracy & Co., my hair salon.  Many of my clients and friends have been referred there by me and they equally rave about the salon.

The reason for this post?  I recently partnered up with the owners of the salon to work together and do a little "small business to small business" networking.  They have a brand new website and I worked together with them to capture some images around the salon that will give you a feeling of the wonderful experience that happens there.

Warm weather is coming, I can feel it!  These past few sunny and warm, well warmer than usual days have me itching to get outside for sessions.  We went to NW Park in Windsor on Sunday and these are a few snapshots--and I do mean snapshots, thus her "play clothes" and messy mop of hair!  But I wanted to share to get you excited about outdoor sessions.  NW Park is a great place for sessions--with fields, paths, long roads, animals, butterfly garden, playground and more...there is plenty to keep your little one(s) busy and having a great time during the session.  Plus the playground works as a great bribe!

Looking for a late spring or early summer session? Contact the studio today...there are only so many Saturdays in a year and those are the first days quickly snatched up!  Enjoy the sunny day...I'm on my way out there to do just that!

Here are a few more of little Mr. D.  Such a sweet baby with the most wonderful family! He was happiest snuggled up close to mom and boy did he love to eat.  He is going to grow up big and strong just like his big brother.  I can't wait to capture him through my lens as he grows up!

Meet Mr. D...well, at least his adorable little feet.  He is 9 days old and just as sweet as can be.  This is just a quick peek for mom and dad until I have a few more to share in the next day or so.  Enjoy!

While editing this session, I decided that I just had to share a couple more.  But this is it because I have to keep the best ones for mom and dad...and future newborn galleries!  Also, adorable brother and sister were SO excited for me to take their picture while little brother was eating that I just had to give them their day of fame as well.  Enjoy!

So sorry I have neglected the blog the past couple of weeks.  Practically gutting our kitchen sort of took over our lives!  I will have a sneak peek very soon--hopefully tomorrow. I recently photographed a 5 day old, very sleepy, and oh so sweet newborn.  Check back soon and I promise to be blogging more.  Thank you to those faithful "blog stalkers" who stop by often!
