Also, the complete information for the *new* A Year of Art offering for babies has been added to the site.  Simply click on "A Year of Art" on the menu bar and get all the great details!

Before you know it, your wrinkly, swishy baby-soft newborn is a crusin' toddler running around everywhere.  The moments throughout that first year are fleeting...if only we could fine a way to catch them and preserve them forever.  Until we accomplish that, hopefully the newest offering from the studio will help!  We are proud to introduce...

~ Book two location sessions for your baby during his or her first year and the third one is our gift to you at no charge!  Just a little way of saying thank you for being a consistent client and to help you capture all of those great moments during the first year.

If she could say more than two words at a time, I'm pretty sure the conversation would go something like this...

Her: "Mom!  Come on, no more pictures!  Really, I've had enough in my short 17 months of life!!  You photograph me practically every day.  Don't you know how to just take a snap shot?  Don't you have clients that you can do "real" photography on?"

Me: "Just a few!  Really, I promise you will thank me someday.  Of course I have clients, but they aren't available on command like you are!  I just can't resist your adorable cheeks and curls.  Just a few, please?  I want to try some new things with my camera, the lighting, etc."

What REALLY took place...

Me: "Here, sit up here...oooh, look at that...what if I sing to you...how about ittsy, bittsy spider?...or abc?...hey, ooooh...where's daddy?...just a couple more..."

Her: "All done.  All done.  All done."

She is quick but my finger on that camera shutter button is quicker!  Really, I know she will thank me someday.

Well...winners that is!  Yet again I couldn't choose just one winner, so there are two.  Each winner will receive a complimentary 5x7 print from their next session.  Congrats!

And I couldn't resist the look on this little girl's face.  She is too cute!

I apologize for the lack of posts over the past week, it has been a bit busy "behind the scenes".  Be sure to check back next week for a new offering from the studio...perfect for babies!  For now, we are wishing you a wonderful Valentine's Day and sending a little love your way...

[ the ten hour session ]

You think I'm kidding right?  Well...it wasn't all at once, but when you add up two sessions we are probably close!  See, I am so inspired by other photographers and two newborn photographers specifically Carrie Sandoval and Brittany Woodall.  In addition to their own websites they also have another amazing site Baby as Art.  So, back to the ten hour session.  We did baby A's "real" session so early (6 days old!) that I wanted to try out some new ideas and asked mom to bring her to my natural light studio space this week.  So you add in some talking, feeding baby, more talking, and an extra sleepy baby...and you have another long session!  I'm sure mom will agree that is was SO worth it--just look at these few images...

REMINDER:  Winter Wonderland Picture Contest...submit pictures of your children in the snow!  One winner will be chosen and awarded a complimentary 5x7 from their next session.

Big sister of the recently posted baby A was wondering where she was in the pictures of her new sister and mommy and daddy in the previous post.  I have a soft spot for two year olds, so I couldn't resist adding one more picture just for her.
